Feeling Home

It was in a nice mall, the only one within half an hour of a bus ride from my campus, and I got some authentic Hong Kong-style hot udon in soup.

That faux-Japanese shop in the canteen was run by people speaking Cantonese. It wasn’t really my mum kind of standard, but it was good enough for me to go over and strike up a conversation in my native language. It almost felt like home.
