Lost in Books

I’ve been reading a lot more this year, partly because being at home gives me to room and motivation to pick up an old habit anew, and I end up frequenting Goodreads to seek out books. The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern is perhaps my favourite read so far this year, and as I read I found it surprisingly relevant as it was in a way a beautiful ode to the concepts of stories and storytelling. The maze of a library it describes not only falls in with our metaphor of writing, it also proved a refuge from the sometimes difficult reality.

This is a link that has meant something to me this year, both the book it refers to and Goodreads as a site itself, The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/42730332-the-starless-sea.

I am an English and Translation major who is most usually found with a book, which may have something to do with my love for words and the occasional need to put them on paper. Sometimes it’s about magic, or music, or memories I hope will have a place in yours.
