#mazepuzzleareyouwithme
For the past year, seven classmates at the university were writing. They were exploring the craft of creative writing during an unprecedented time of staying apart. The Situation Room is a tribute to an unexpected journey of coming together. A collection of writings and voices, from shared experience, joined in deep collaborations with HK Ballet artists’ vision and videos. Enter The Situation Room and discover a thread from a creative maze of wonder.

That night I dreamt of a web maze
It is as if I’ve tucked onto an invisible string in the universe and the trajectory for the both of us has been altered. A ripple that becomes a perpetual vibration. Then I close my eyes. I am little particles of dust floating in this wide world.
The walls of our apartment only grew thicker, or maybe they caved in on themselves, I don’t know.

Jamie Chang
Jamie double majors in Psychology and Fine Arts with an English Studies minor at the University of Hong Kong. Far from the shy persona upon initial greetings, she is a drama llama and a fanatical cat-momma with a theatre background, and has a taste for heavier themes in life – current obsession: the TV series, Westworld.
Geri Cheng
Geri is a recent graduate of the University of Hong Kong where she majored in English and minored in Politics and Public Administration. She enjoys reading, learning, and writing about things that are not very pragmatic but give her new understanding about the world and people around her.
Ryan Hui
I’m Ryan, a graduating student from the University of Hong Kong majoring in both English Studies and History, and minoring in Japanese Culture. I’m secretly plotting to overthrow my father to retake my Netflix account and dream of the day when Italians start putting pineapples on pizza.
Anna Li Lai Nam
I am an English and Translation major who is most usually found with a book, which may have something to do with my love for words and the occasional need to put them on paper. Sometimes it’s about magic, or music, or memories I hope will have a place in yours.
Barbie Liu
Barbie possesses a curiosity in the negotiation between her Chinese upbringing and Western exposure. She is a recent HKU graduate, and continues to explore her interest in the Arts, particularly Art History and English Literature. As a visual artist, she runs an Instagram page showcasing ink sketches of architecture, ancient Greek craftsmanship, and blackberries.
Michelle Wong
Hi there, this is Michelle! I love exploring different types of writing, which is why I double-majored in English Studies and Translation, and minored in Journalism and Media Studies. I now write both creatively and journalistically in my spare time. Find more on my site.
Wong Tin Lok
Lok Wong is an emerging writer, an aspiring curator, and a soon-to-expire college student. Stuck between the life and death of graduation, he is determined to seek salvation through the afterlife of freelancing. When he is not seen around art exhibitions, he could be found at the library doing research.
