Contributing to the international academic conference on Island Cities and Urban Archipelagos (2016), a new pop-up installation at the HKU Black Box featured a unique collaboration between HKU students of Landscape Architecture and The Creative Writing Class: together, the young writers and architects reflect designs and stories of their own threshold experiences, on the new, urban Centennial campus. Audiences for the installation were encouraged as participants to carry their lunches into the HKU Black Box and to glimpse four pathways: spaces and moments of arrival and departure to and from the HKU campus.
“I love the spontaneous change of form and unison of architectural words.” – Undergraduate Arts student working in collaboration with the students of Landscape Architecture to produce the installation and performance event, Urban Islands, March 2016
